The spiritual journey is an endless pursuit without a fixed destination. Success lies in continuous striving rather than reaching perfection.
The pursuit of the Lord, which forms the crux of every spiritual romance, will always remain a work in progress. Fixating on a destination is not becoming of a spiritual seeker. There is no predefined physical or emotional status a seeker must reach to qualify for their spiritual success.
The spiritual journey doesn’t begin or end at any particular point in time or space. Both parties—the master and disciple in a spiritual contract (Bai’a)—equally undergo trials and tribulations in their journey to the Lord.
Spiritual Perfection is a fallacy unfound in the wayfarer’s itinerary. He or she must continually strive until they witness the Divine grace. And therein lies the beauty.
